Where
the Magic Began.....
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
- Roald Dahl
A Tribute To The One and Only
Sandy Lee

The Wanderful Project is a living dedication
to
my mom, Sandy Lee.
She passed on June 2, 2020, a day that will be etched into my heart and soul forever. With her passing, there is obviously a void that is exquisitely wide and deep - so much so that it brings with it a powerful need to celebrate my Mom, to pay homage to her, to tell her how much I love her over and over again, to tell her how proud and grateful I am that she was, and is my mom; to share out loud how absolutely delicious a human being she was, and to thank her for teaching me about unconditional love.
I don’t know how else to describe my mom but as MAGIC. All who crossed paths with her felt seen, heard, celebrated, supported and loved. She looked at us all with the glittering eyes that Roald Dahl speaks of. She reflected back to us our greatest selves by simply sharing what she saw and felt in her heart. In turn, what was made visible to us was the celebration-worthy, admirable, remarkable, curious, deservedly LOVABLE people that we each are. We all felt special and unconditionally LOVED.
What I hope for through venture is that these wands serve as reminder that unconditional love (and especially unconditional love for ourselves) so often manifests in MAGIC. I hope that each wand holds this space of hope and comfort and possibility of wishes come true. You can put intention into your wand and send it out into the world to create more joy and wonder and love- just like my mom did. In this way her capacity for love, her artistic being-ness, her appreciation for the magic that is embedded in everything around us will live on into the future forever.
If everyone had the opportunity to be loved and championed by Sandy Lee, the world would quite simply be a marvelous place. Sandy Lee was inspired by us – by the unique humanity within each one of us, by our stories, and by nature and art and beauty in all forms around her. I feel my mom as a magic angel sitting in heaven delighted to support all of us in our own particular wand-erful journey.
